一次難忘的經歷

中文科主任問我:有一條作文題目是「一次難忘的經歷」,三個學生寫了自己的文章,一篇講述生日會,普普通通的;一個寫自己做夢成了孫悟空;一個寫自己晚上成為蝙蝠俠,你認為哪一篇比較好呢?

聽他一言兩語,我無法知道哪一篇寫得好,但我明白他考慮的角度:命題作文。生日會雖然是平凡的題材,但並不等於普通,只要擅於經驗轉化,寫出一個深刻、獨特的生日會並非難事。老師認定化身孫悟空或蝙蝠俠是只顧創意的離題之作,但我認為不盡然。首先我不會認同這些學生有創意,化身孫悟空或蝙蝠俠有什麼創新之處?夢中情節也是見慣見熟,不過把電影的橋段化為文字而已。但這麼寫法就一定不會有好作品嗎?問題始終是處理手法,例如周星馳的西遊記就有不少新鮮的意念,把《西遊記》重新演繹;James Joyce的《尤利西斯》同樣以史詩《奧德修記》主角的十年漂泊,套入小說主人翁一天的生活裡去。

我想說的是,老師,你應該開闊同學的眼光,讓他們抓住出色的意念時不致糟蹋,鼓勵他們創作,給他們更大的空間。

問題是,老師本身有一套固定、既有的想法,而評分又有一定的原則,老師之間又要約定統一。基制之下,要老師放開懷抱,存在著一定的困難。
